In anticipation of the upcoming events, public transport services are set to experience a notable extension in operating hours. This upgrade will cater to attendees, ensuring smoother late-night travel after the festivities.

On the SMRT lines, including the North-South, East-West, Circle, and Thomson-East Coast, train services will run later, with the last trains scheduled to depart between 1:38 AM and 2:15 AM. This extension provides peace of mind for travelers, allowing ample time to return home without the usual rush.

Meanwhile, SBS Transit’s Downtown and North East lines, along with the Sengkang-Punggol LRT services, will also enjoy an additional two hours and fifteen minutes of operation. This strategic enhancement aims to facilitate smoother transitions for event-goers.

Officials have emphasized the importance of maintaining safety during dispersal. Given the anticipated crowds, they have implemented measures to manage the flow of people after the event. Designated routes will be established for orderly movement out of Marina Bay and Kallang Basin.

To assist with the dispersal process, informative signs will be displayed throughout the area. Six new digital animated signboards will be strategically positioned around Marina Bay, offering crucial information such as alternative MRT routes and timings for the last trains.

Moreover, crowd management at train stations will be a priority. Commuters may be guided to utilize nearby MRT stations to prevent overcrowding, as officials encourage attendees to consider less crowded options for their journey home.

The police have stated, “We appreciate your understanding in heading towards these alternative MRT stations and utilizing the interconnected MRT networks to reach your destination more efficiently.” They also recommend enjoying other island-wide festivities, particularly those in residential areas, for a more comfortable travel experience.
